Somewhere on here there is an excellent tutorial on getting EZD up and running with Reaper, just can`t remember where it is, so try googling EZD reaper setup on the forums and it should come up. This sounds like you have the routing for midi from ezd and/or the audio out from EZD`s sound generator/sample player wrongly routed.
